The Tower of London

While we were still home, we ordered our tickets for the Tower of
London to save both money and time. We bought our tickets for
Saturday, but you have up to seven days to use it. So today was the day.

We heeded the advice of others and saw the Crown Jewels first. There
were really old bejeweled items that have been used in coronation
ceremonies for centuries. The oldest was a spoon from the 12th century.

We toured the Bloody Tower where Sir Walter Ralegh was held for a long
time. There is also a mystery about the disappearance and ultimate
death of two young princes.

Our last building was the White Tower where many of the armor and
weaponry from several centuries was on display. By the time you finish
going through this tower, you are up about six floors and descend by
way of a spiral staircase.

We bought a guidebook, thimble and spoon to commemorate our visit.
