Welcome to our blog specifically created for our family's summer vacation, 2010. We have been planning this trip since mid-2008 and we are a week away from beginning this great adventure.
We are bookending a 12-night cruise aboard the Disney Magic with three days in London and a daylong excursion to Canterbury and Leeds Castle.
Our itinerary:
July 2nd - depart the U.S. via Delta Airlines to London's Gatwick airport, redeye flight.
July 3rd - 6th - London, England
July 6th - Embark on the Disney Magic cruise ship from the Port of Dover
July 7th - At Sea
July 8th - Oslo, Norway
July 9th - Copenhagen, Denmark
July 10th - Warnemunde, Germany (gateway to Berlin)
July 11th - At Sea
July 12th - 13th - St. Petersburg, Russia
July 14th - Helsinki, Finland
July 15th - Stockholm, Sweden
July 16th - 17th - At Sea
July 18th - Disembark and return to London
July 19th - Canterbury and Leeds Castle
July 20th - Return to the US from London's Heathrow Airport.
We are a family of four. Mom, Dad, and two sons ages 14 and 12 1/2 who will be known as DS14 and DS12. For our DISBoard family, you'll know us as NZDisneyMom and the boys are the N and the Z that make me a DisneyMom. For our local friends, well, you know who we are anyway. For everyone else, welcome aboard!
The first thing that struck me was that you'd be spending the 4th of July in England. Somehow that just seems.... hmmmm.... LOL Hope you have a great time!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! I'll be following your adventures. I once spent July 4th in England, but I was on an American air base visiting a friend whose dh was in the Air Force. Still, it was interesting.
