We're arriving in London early on Saturday which will give us three full days to see the highlights. While we know we'll be exhausted when we get there, we do have a list of places to see and things to do for our few days in the city. We are staying at the Renaissance Chancery Court ( http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/loncc-renaissance-chancery-court-london/ ) which seems like it will be a great location from which to explore.
In no particular order, these made the short list:
The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour - a guided walk including the Apple offices, and Abbey Road Studios, and yes, the Abbey Road crosswalk. www.walks.com
The Tower of London: http://www.hrp.org.uk/Toweroflondon/
The London Eye: http://www.londoneye.com/
Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guard: http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/default.asp?action=article&ID=492
The British Museum: http://www.britishmuseum.org/
And of course we'll be serious tourists and take a tour on the Big Bus: http://www.bigbustours.com/eng/london/default.aspx
British Museum is awesome! They've got a great podcast series going on right now, called "A History of the World in 100 Objects". It would be neat to see some of the objects featured! Of course some of them are pretty much standard fare already, such as the Rosetta Stone.
